ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్, కర్నూలు జిల్లా, పావన కృష్ణా నదీ తీరాన, నల్లమల్ల పర్వతారణ్యాల నందు శ్రీశైలం అను అనాది శైవ క్షేత్రం కలదు. ఇచ్చట శ్రీ మల్లిఖార్జున జ్యోతిర్లింగము మరియు శ్రీ భ్రమరాంభికా శక్తి పీఠం కలవు. శ్రీ మల్లిఖార్జునాలయ ప్రవేశం తూర్పు రాజ గోపురం నుంచి జరుగుతుంది. ఆలయ ప్రాంగణం చాల విశాలంగా ఉంటుంది. ప్రధానాలయం నందు శనగల బసవన్న, శ్రీ మల్లిఖార్జున లింగము కలవు. ప్రధానాలయం తో పాటు అద్దాల మండపం, కళ్యాణ మండపం, శ్రీ పార్వతి మందిరం, పాండవులు ప్రతిష్టించిన శివ లింగాలు, అర్ధనారీశ్వరాలయం, పంచ మఠములు మొదలగునవి ఉంటాయి. శ్రీ శైలం నందు దేవస్ధానం వారి వసతులు, TTD వారి వసతులు మరియు అన్ని కులముల వారికి ధర్మశాలలు ఉన్నాయి. శ్రీశైల విహార్ వంటి అతిధి గృహాలు, కాటేజీలు కూడ కలవు. దేవస్ధానం వారి ఉచిత అన్నదాన శాల, క్యాంటీన్, ఫలహారశాల మొదలగు భోజన సదుపాయములు దొరుకుతాయి.
శ్రీ మల్లిఖార్జున స్వామి ఆలయం వెనుక భాగంలో శ్రీ భమరాంబికా దేవి ఆలయం ఉంటుంది. ఇది శక్తి పీఠాలలో ఒకటిగా ప్రతీతి. మూడు అంతస్ధుల గోపురం క్రింద నుంచి అమ్మ వారి ఆలయ ప్రవేశం జరుగుతుంది. అరుణుడు అనే రాక్షాసుని, భ్రమరాలు (తుమ్మెదలు) సహాయముతో వధించి, జగతికి శాంతి చేకూర్చింది. భక్తులు దేవిని భ్రామరి అని కీర్తించారు. ప్రకృతి రూపిణియగు పరాశక్తిని భ్రమరాంబికా వర్ణించారు. అమ్మ గర్భాలయం గోడల రంధ్రములలో తుమ్మెదలు ఉంటాయి. భక్తులు తుమ్మెదల ఝంకార నాదం వినవచ్చును. దానిని భ్రామరీ నాదము అంటారు. అమ్మ వారి స్వరూపం తేజోవంతము గా ఉంటుంది. అమ్మ వారిని బ్రాహ్మణి శక్తి రూపంలో పూజిస్తారు. అమ్మవారి విగ్రహం ఎనిమిది చేతులతో పట్టు చీర ధరించి ఉంటుంది. ఆలయ గర్భ గృహం లోపల, అగస్త్య సన్యాసి భార్య లోపాముద్ర విగ్రహం ఉంది. గర్భ గృహం ముందు శ్రీ యంత్రం ఉంది. దీనిని జగద్గురువు ఆది శంకరలు ప్రతిష్టించారు. శ్రీ యంత్రం నకు అర్చనలు జరుగుతాయి. నిత్య పూజలుతో పాటు కళ్యాణ ఉత్సవాలు మహాశివరాత్రికి ఘనంగా జరుగుతాయి. చైత్రమాసములో చండి యోగము, కుంభోత్సవం మొదలగునవి భ్రమరాంబికా ఉత్సవాలు వైభవంగా జరుగుతాయి. ప్రతి రోజు తెల్లవారి సమయం నందు జ్యోతిర్లింగము మరియు శక్తి పీఠం కు మహా మంగళ హరితి సేవ నిర్వహించుతారు. ఇది రుసుంతో కూడిన మహా దర్శనం. సాక్షీ గణపతి, హాటకేశ్వరం, పాలదార - పంచదార, శిఖర దర్శనం మరియు పాతాళగంగ మొదలగునవి శ్రీశైల క్షేత్రములో చూడదగినవి. స్ధానిక స్ధల సందర్శనం కోసం వాహనములు బస్ స్టాండ్ ప్రాంతము నుంచి దొరుకుతాయి.
శ్రీశైలం నకు సమీప రైల్వే స్టేషన్ మార్కాపురం రోడ్. గుంటూరు - గుంతకల్లు రైలు మార్గంలో మార్కాపురం రోడ్ రైల్వే స్టేషన్ ఉంటుంది. అన్ని ముఖ్య రైలు సర్వీసులు ఆగుతాయి. రైల్వే స్టేషన్ నుంచి శ్రీశైలం కు బస్సులు పరిమితంగా ఉంటాయి. మార్కాపురం రోడ్ రైల్వే స్టేషన్ కు 6 కీ.మీ దూరాన మార్కాపురం ఊరు ఉంది. ఆటోలు దొరుకుతాయి. మార్కాపురం RTC బస్ స్టాండ్ నుంచి శ్రీశైలం కు బస్సులు కలవు. మార్కాపురం కు 70 కీ.మీ దూరాన శ్రీశైలం ఉంటుంది. డోర్నాల దాటిన తరువాత ఘాట్ రోడ్ మార్గం మొదలవుతుంది. విజయవాడ, గుంటూరు, ఒంగోలు, కర్నూలు, హైదరాబాద్ మొదలగు ప్రాంతములు నుంచి హెచ్చు బస్సులు ఉంటాయి. ఒంగోలు, నంద్యాల మరియు తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాలలోని ముఖ్య బస్ స్టేషన్ నుంచి శ్రీశైలం కు బస్సులు బయులుదేరును.

Andhra Pradesh, Kurnool District, on the banks of the Pavana Krishna river, in the Nallamalla mountain forests, there is an ancient Shaiva temple called Srisailam. Here are Sri Mallikarjuna Jyotirlingam and Sri Bhramarambhika Shakti Peetha. The entrance to Sri Mallikarjunalaya is from the East Raja Gopuram. The temple premises are very spacious. Sanagala Basavanna and Sri Mallikarjuna linga are located in the main temple. Along with the main temple, Addala Mandapam, Kalyana Mandapam, Shri Parvati Mandir, Shiva Lingas installed by the Pandavas, There are Ardhanariswaralayam, Pancha Maths etc. Sri Sailam Nandu Devasdhanam has their facilities, TTD has their facilities and Dharamshalas for all castes. There are also guest houses and cottages like Srisaila Vihar. Devasdhanam has food facilities like free food hall, canteen, cafeteria etc.
Behind Sri Mallikharjuna Swamy Temple is Sri Bhamarambika Devi Temple. It is symbolized as one of the Shakti Peethas. The entrance to Amma's temple is from under the three-storied gopuram. She killed the demon Aruna with the help of Bhramaras (fireflies) and brought peace to the world. Devotees praise the goddess as Bhramari. Bhramarambika describes Parashakti as the shaper of nature. There are fireflies in the holes in the walls of Amma's sanctum. Devotees can hear the sound of fireflies. It is called Bhramari Nadamu. Amma's appearance is radiant. Amma worships them in the form of Brahman Shakti. The idol of Amma is wearing a silk saree with eight arms. Inside the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, there is an idol of Lopamudra, wife of Agastya monk. There is Sri Yantra in front of Garbha Griha. It was installed by Jagadguru Adi Shankara. Prayers are offered to Shri Yantra. Along with regular pujas, marriage festivals are celebrated on Mahashivratri. Chandi Yoga, Kumbhotsavam etc. are held in grandeur during the month of Chaitra. Maha Mangala Harithi Seva is performed to Jyotirlinga and Shakti Peetha every day at dawn time. It is a great darshan with a fee. Sakshi Ganapati, Hatakeswaram, Paladara - Panchadara, Shikhara Darshan and Pathalganga etc. are worth seeing in Srisaila Kshetra. Vehicles for sightseeing are available from the bus stand area.
The nearest railway station to Srisailam is Markapuram Road. Markapuram Road railway station is located on the Guntur - Guntakallu railway line. All major train services will stop. Buses from railway station to Srisailam are limited. Markapuram town is 6 km away from Markapuram road railway station. Autos are available. There are buses from Markapuram RTC bus stand to Srisailam. Srisailam is 70 km away from Markapuram. After crossing Dornala, the ghat road route starts. There are many buses from Vijayawada, Guntur, Ongole, Kurnool, Hyderabad etc. Buses leave for Srisailam from major bus stations in Ongole, Nandyala and Telugu states.
