 హరిక్షేత్ర కామరూపా (కామాఖ్య)

కామరూప జిల్లా, అస్సాం

 అస్సాం, కామరూప జిల్లా, గౌహతి పట్టణం నకు ఉత్తరం దిశగా, సుమారు 10 కీ.మీ దూరన నీలాచలం అను పర్వతం ఉంది. నీలాచల పర్వతాలు మరింత అందాలతో కనువిందు చేస్తాయి. గుబురుగా, దట్టంగా దారి కనిపించనంత ఎత్తుగా పెరిగిన చెట్టతో నిండి ఆకాశాన్నంటుతూ ఉన్న నీలాచలం బహు సందరము. నీలాచల పర్వతం దిగువన పర్వత అంచు తాకుతూ ప్రవహిస్తున్న బ్రహ్మపుత్ర నదీ జలాలు ఉంటాయి. ఇంత రామణీయకతను దర్శించిన భక్తుల జన్మ సఫలం. కొండ పైన శ్రీ కామాఖ్య శక్తి పీఠం కలదు. ఇది సతీదేవి యోని భాగం పడిన క్షేత్రంగా విరాజిల్లుతుంది.  ఇచ్చట తార, శోదషి, భువనేశ్వరి, బైరవి, చిన్నమస్తా, ధుమవతి, బగలముఖి, మాతంగి, కమల ఆలయాలు కలవు. వీటిలో త్రిపుర సుందరి, మాతంగి, కమల దేవాలయాలు ప్రక్కప్రక్కన ప్రధాన దేవాలయంలో ఉన్నాయి. మిగిలిన ఏడు దేవాలయాలు ప్రత్యేకంగా ఉన్నాయి. ప్రధాన దేవాలయం నందు కామాఖ్య అమ్మవారు దర్శనమిస్తారు. అమ్మవారికి విగ్రహ రూపం ఉండదు. యోని ఆకారంలో ఉన్న శిలనే విగ్రహంగా భావించి కొలుస్తారు. గుహ లోపల గల రాతి పైన కామాఖ్య యోని దర్శనమిస్తుంది. కామాఖ్య ఆలయం బలి పీఠం, ప్రవేశ  మండపం, మహా మండపం, గర్భాలయం మొదలగునవి కలిగియున్నాది. అంతరాలయం  కన్న గర్భాలయం 18 అడుగుల లోతులో ఉంటుంది. అమ్మ వారికి నిత్య పూజలు, జంతు బలి పూజాదులు ఘనంగా జరుగుతాయి. హిందువులకు, తాంత్రిక భక్తులకు ఇది ఒక ముఖ్యమైన యాత్రాస్థలము.

     యాత్రికులు కొండ పైన గల సౌభాగ్యకుడ్ నందు పవిత్ర స్నానమాచరించుతారు. కొండ పైన గల ఆలయాలు సందర్శించుతారు. సౌభాగ్య కుండంలో స్నానం చేసిన భక్తులు ఆలయంలోని యోని శిలారూపాన్ని తాకి నమస్కరించుకుంటారు. అక్కడి యోని స్రావిత జలాన్ని తీర్థంగా సేవిస్తారు. ఈ కారణంగా ఆలయం వెనుక ఉన్న పార్వతి కుండంలో మరో సారి తలస్నానం చేసి శుచులవ్వడం మంచిదని పూజార్లు చెబుతారు. ఆషాడ మాసంలో జరుగు " అంబవాసీ " పండుగ ప్రధానం. ఈ మాసం నందు జరుగు నవరాత్రులును " గాయత్రి " మరియు " శాకంబరి " నవరాత్రులు గా పిలుస్తారు. చైత్రం, అశ్వయుజ మాసంలో ఉత్సవాలు ఘనంగా ఉంటాయి. కొండ పైన ప్రధానాలయం తో పాటు శంకరాచార్యలు, కుబీర, కంబలేశ్వర్, మాయవతీ, భైరవ, రాజరాజేశ్వరి, తారాదేవి, కామేశ్వ ర్ - చిన్నమస్తా, కాళికాలయం మొదలగునవి దర్శనీయం. కొండను అధిరోహించుటకు మెట్లు & ఘాట్ రోడ్ కలవు. ఒకటిన్నర కిలోమీటర్ల ఎత్తున్న నీలాచల పర్వతం పైకి ఆటోలు, టాక్సీలపై చేరుకోవచ్చు.

     దేశం నలుమూలల నుంచి గౌహతి మీదగా రైలు సర్వీసులున్నాయి. హౌరా/కలకత్తా నుంచి హెచ్చుగా ఉంటయి. రైలు సర్వీసులు (వయా) బర్ధమాన్, రామపూర్ హాట్ (తారపీఠ), న్యూ జుల్ పాయ్ గురీ, కామాఖ్య, గౌహతి మీదగా ఉండును. కామాఖ్య రైల్వే  స్టేషన్ లో ప్యాసింజర్ రైలు ఆగుతాయి. ఇక్కడ నుంచి ఆలయం నకు రవాణా సౌకర్యములుంటాయి. గౌహతి రైల్వే స్టేషన్ నందు అన్ని రైలు ఆగుతాయి. యాత్రికులుకు గౌహతి లో మంచి వసతులు కలవు. గౌహతి నుంచి కామాఖ్య ఆలయం నకు బస్సులు, ఆటోలు/టాక్సీలు హెచ్చుగా దొరుకుతాయి. వీటి మధ్య దూరం సుమారు 8 కీ.మీ గా ఉంటుంది.

Harikshetra Kamarupa (Kamakhya)

Assam, Kamarupa district, towards the north of Guwahati town, about 10 km away, there is a mountain called Neelachalam. The blue mountains add more beauty to the eye. The sky is full of thick and bushy trees that grow so high that you can't see the path. At the bottom of Nilachala mountain are the waters of the river Brahmaputra which touches the edge of the mountain. The birth of the devotees who have seen such Ramaness is successful. On top of the hill there is Sri Kamakhya Shakti Peetha. It breaks down into the area where the part of Sati's vagina fell. There are Tara, Shodashi, Bhubaneswari, Bairavi, Chinnamasta, Dhumavati, Bagalamukhi, Matangi and Kamala temples here. Among these, Tripura Sundari, Matangi and Kamal temples are located side by side in the main temple. The remaining seven temples are unique. Goddess Kamakhya appears in the main temple. Amma has no idol form. A yoni-shaped rock is considered as an idol and measured. Kamakhya yoni appears on the rock inside the cave. The Kamakhya temple has a sacrificial platform, entrance mandapam, maha mandapam, sanctum sanctorum etc. The sanctum sanctorum is 18 feet deep. Amma is worshiped regularly and animal sacrifices are performed in a grand manner. It is an important pilgrimage site for Hindus and Tantric devotees.

Pilgrims take a holy dip in Saubhagyakud on top of the hill. Temples on top of the hill are visited. Devotees who have bathed in the Saubhagya Kund touch the yoni stone form in the temple and offer obeisance. The yoni discharge water is consumed as a pilgrimage. For this reason, the priests say that it is good to bathe in the Parvati Kund behind the temple once more and get clean. The main festival is "Ambavasi" which takes place in the month of Ashada. The Navarathris that occur in this month are known as "Gayatri" and "Shakambari" Navarathris. Festivals are grand in the month of Chaitram and Ashvayuja. Along with the main temple, Shankaracharya, Kubira, Kambaleshwar, Mayavati, Bhairava, Rajarajeshwari, Taradevi, Kameshwar - Chinnamasta, Kalikalayam etc. can be seen on top of the hill. There are stairs & ghat road to climb the hill. One and a half kilometers high Nilachala mountain can be reached by autos and taxis.

There are train services from all over the country via Guwahati. High from Howrah/Calcutta. Train services (Via) via Bardhaman, Ramapur Hot (Tarapeetha), New Jul Pai Guri, Kamakhya, Guwahati. The passenger train stops at Kamakhya railway station. From here there are transport facilities to the temple. All trains stop at Guwahati railway station. Travelers have good accommodation in Guwahati. Buses, autos/taxis are widely available from Guwahati to Kamakhya Temple. The distance between them is about 8 km.
