పాద శివలింగ స్ధానం: చాళుక్యుల భీమ మండలం నందలి ద్రాక్షారామ క్షేత్రానికి ఆగ్నేయం దిశగా, సుమారు 17 kms. దూరాన, పావన గౌతమీ నదీ (గోదావరి) తీరాన బ్రహ్మపురి (Brahmapuri) అను గ్రామం ఉంది. క్షేత్రం నందు శ్రీ అన్నపూర్ణా సమేత శ్రీ విశ్వేశ్వర స్వామి ఆలయం కలదు. రామచంద్ర పురం నుంచి బ్రహ్మపురి కి (Via) ద్రాక్షారామం మీదగా రోజుకు 2 సార్లు బస్సులు కలవు. యానాం నుంచి ఆటోలు ఉంటాయి. 

ఆలయం: మన పురాణం ప్రకారం బ్రహ్మకు అయిదు తలలు ఉండేవి. పూర్ణవల్లీ కథలో బ్రహ్మదేవుని ఐదవ తలను శివుడు ఖండించినట్లగా ఉంది. ఒక రోజు బ్రహ్మదేవుడు, శివ రూపంలో కైలాసాన్ని సందర్శించడం జరిగింది. ఆ శివ రూపానికి పార్వతీ దేవి పాద పూజ చేయనారంభించింది. బ్రహ్మ కపటం రూపం గ్రహించిన శివుడు, బ్రహ్మ తలను ఖండించుతాడు. ఆ చర్య వలన శివునికి బ్రహ్మ హత్యాపాతకం ప్రాప్తి అయింది. బ్రహ్మ పుర్రె పట్టుకొని శివుడు పన్నెండు సంవత్సరాల పాటు బిక్షాటన చేసాడు. బ్రహ్మ హత్యాపాతకం నుంచి విముక్తి పొందుటకు శివుడు సకల పుణ్య తీర్ధాలలో స్నానం ఆచారించాడు. గౌతమీ నదీ పుణ్య ఫలంతో బ్రహ్మ హత్యాపాతకం నుంచి శివునికి విముక్తి కలిగింది. శివుని చేతిలోని బ్రహ్మ పుర్రె నదిలోకి జారింది. ఆ కారణముగా ఈ గౌతమీ నది తీర ప్రాంతమునకు "బ్రహ్మపుర్రె" అనే పేరు వచ్చింది. కాలక్రమేన పేరు మార్పుచెంది, బ్రహ్మపురిగా స్ధిర పడింది. 

శ్రీ విశ్వేశ్వర లింగము భీమసభ నందలి 108 శివ లింగాల్లో ఒకటిగా ప్రతీతి. శ్రీ విశ్వేశ్వరాలయం నందలి శివలింగము స్వత సిద్ధంగా మూడు విభూతి రేఖలను మరియు మూడవ కన్నును కలిగియుండుట విశేషం. శ్రీ విశ్వేశ్వర లింగమును అర్చించిన వారికి సకల శుభములు కలుగును అని భక్తుల విశ్వాసం.

Pada Shivalinga Location: About 17 kms. away, on the banks of the holy Gautami River (Godavari) towards the southeast of the Draksharama Kshetra of the Chalukyas, there is a village called Brahmapuri. The temple of Sri Vishweshwara Swamy along with Sri Annapurna is located in the Kshetra. There are buses from Ramachandrapuram to Brahmapuri (Via) via Draksharamam twice a day. Temple: According to our Purana, Brahma had five heads. In the story of Poornavalli, it is said that Shiva cut off the fifth head of Brahma. One day, Brahma visited Kailash in the form of Shiva. Goddess Parvati started worshipping the feet of that Shiva form. Shiva, realizing the false form of Brahma, cuts off Brahma's head. Due to that action, Shiva was punished for killing Brahma. Holding the skull of Brahma, Shiva begged for twelve years. To get rid of the sin of killing Brahma, Shiva bathed in all the holy places. With the merit of the Gautami River, Shiva was freed from the sin of killing Brahma. The skull of Brahma in Shiva's hand fell into the river. Because of that, the bank of the Gautami River got the name "Brahmapurre". Over time, the name changed and became Brahmapuri.

Sri Vishweshwara Linga is known as one of the 108 Shiva Lingas in Bhima Sabha. The Shiva Linga in Sri Vishweshwara Temple is special in that it has three lines of vibhuti and a third eye. Devotees believe that those who worship Sri Vishweshwara Linga will get all the auspicious things.

The temple premises include Sri Visvesvarayam and Sri Kesava Swamy Temple. Sri Visvesvarayam has a gali gopuram, flag pole, face mandapam, antaralayam, and sanctum sanctorum. Sri Visvesvarayam lingam is seen in the sanctum sanctorum. Ganapati, Subrahmanya, Veerabhadra, and Annapurna Devi are enshrined in the sanctum sanctorum. Archanas, abhishekams, and santhulas are performed to Sri Visvesvarayam every day. With the grace of the Lord, happiness, joy, health, victory, wealth, and pleasures are achieved.

There are autos from Yanam Bypass Road (Sri Ravi Junior & Degree College, Near Yanam Bi Pass road, Sunkarapalem, Andhra Pradesh) to Brahmapuri village via Godavari Ghat. Sharing autos are very few.
