ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ నుంచి తెలంగాణ ప్రాంతము విడిపోయి రెండు తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాలు గా ఏర్పాడాయి. ఈ రెండు తెలుగు రాష్ట్ర సరిహదు నందు గల తుంగభద్ర నదీ తీరం లో అలంపురం కలదు. ఇది తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రం, శ్రీ జోగులాంబ గద్వాల జిల్లా పరిధి లోనికి వస్తుంది. క్షేత్రం నందు శ్రీ నవ బ్రహ్మాలయాలు (9) మరియు శ్రీ జోగలాంబా శక్తి పీఠం దర్శించగలం. బ్రహ్మదేవుడు నిర్మించిన తొమ్మిది శివాలయాలుగా పురాణ ఖ్యాతి గాంచినాయి. వీటిలో శ్రీ బాల బ్రహ్మేశ్వర ఆలయం ప్రధానమైనది. దీనికి ఆగ్నేయం దిశలో శ్రీ జోగులాంబ ఆలయం ఉంటుంది. ఆలయ నిర్మాణం చక్కటి ఇసుక రాయితో సుందరంగా ఉంటుంది. గర్భాలయం నందలి మూల విరాట్టు మహిమాన్విత మైనది. జోగలాంబా అమ్మ కు నిత్య అర్చనలుతో పాటు దేవి నవరాత్రులు సందర్భముగా గొప్ప ఉత్సవాలు, రథోత్సవం జరుగుతాయి. తల్లికి ప్రీతికరమైన మంగళ, శుక్రవారాల్లో ప్రత్యేక అభిషేకాలు జరుగుతాయి. కోరిన కోర్కెలు తీర్చే తల్లిగా ప్రసిద్ధమైన అమ్మవారిని దర్శించుకునేందుకు నిత్యం భక్తులు వస్తుంటారు. సంతాన సమస్యలు, అనారోగ్య సమస్యలు ఉన్నవారి పాలిట జోగులాంబ అనుగ్రహము ఉంటుంది.
ఆలంపూర్ క్షేత్రంలో కార్తీకమాసం పూజలు, శివరాత్రి పర్వదినాన్ని కన్నుల పండుగగా నిర్వహిస్తారు. కార్తీకమాసంలో జోగుళాంబ అమ్మవారిని విశేష పూజలో పాల్గొనేందుకు మహిళలు అధిక సంఖ్యలో పాల్గొంటారు. ఇక్కడ జరిగే నవ వర్ణార్చన, కన్య పూజల కోసం మహిళలు అధిక సంఖ్యలో అమ్మవారిని దర్శించుకుంటారు. కార్తీక మాసంలో జరిగే ప్రత్యేక ఉత్సవాల కోసం దేవాలయాన్ని కన్నుల పండుగగా విద్యుత్ దీపాలతో అలంకరిస్తారు. శివరాత్రి పర్వదినాన బాల బహ్మేశ్వరుని దర్శించుకునే భక్తులు సంఖ్య అధికముగా ఉంటుంది.
చరిత్ర: ఆలంపూర్ లో ఏడవ-ఎనిమిదవ శతాబ్దాలలో బాదామి చాళుక్యులచే నిర్మించబడిన తొమ్మిది శివాలయాల కలవు. తారక బ్రహ్మ, స్వర్గ బ్రహ్మ, పద్మ బ్రహ్మ, బాల బ్రహ్మ, గరుడ బ్రహ్మ, కుమార బ్రహ్మ, అర్క బ్రహ్మ, వీర బ్రహ్మ మరియు విశ్వ బ్రహ్మ అనే తొమ్మిది బ్రహ్మ ఆలయాలు నవ బ్రహ్మ ఆలయాలుగా ప్రసిద్ధి చెందినాయి. ఆలయ సముదాయం లోనే జోగులాంబ శక్తి పీఠం కూడ ఉండేది. 1390లో బహమనీ సుల్తానులచే జోగులాంబ ఆలయం భూస్థాపితం చేయబడింది. విజయనగర చక్రవర్తి రెండవ హరిహర రాయలు కాలములో బహమనీ సుల్తాన్ సైన్యం దాడిలో దేవాలయం దెబ్బతినడంతో జోగులాంబ అమ్మవారు, ఆమె శక్తి రూపాలైన చండీ, ముండీలను సమీపంలో గల బాలబ్రహ్మ దేవాలయానికి తరలించి, దాచిపెట్టారు. అప్పటి నుండి 2005 సంవత్సరం వరకు అమ్మవారు బాలబ్రహ్మ దేవాలయంలో కొలువై పూజలు అందుకున్నారు. 2005లో జోగులాంబ దేవాలయాన్ని పునర్నిర్మించిన తరువాత జోగులాంబ విగ్రహాన్ని పునఃప్రతిష్ఠించారు.
తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రం లోని గద్వాల, మహబూబ్ నగర్ మొదలగు ప్రాంతములు నుంచి రవాణా సౌకర్యములు కలవు. మహబూబ్ నగర - కర్నూలు రైలు మార్గం లో అలంపూర్ రోడ్, శ్రీ బాల బ్రహ్మేశ్వర - జోగులాంబా రైల్వే స్టేషన్స్ కలవు. ఇక్కడ ప్యాసింజర్ రైలు ఆగుతాయి. ఇక్కడ నుంచి అలంపురం కు పరిమిత రవాణా సౌకర్యములు దొరుకుతాయి. కర్నూలు టౌన్ రైల్వే స్టేషన్ లో అన్ని రైలు ఆగుతాయి. కర్నూలు RTC బస్ స్టాండ్ నుంచి అలంపురం కు ప్రతి అర గంటకు బస్సులు బయులుదేరును. వీటి మధ్య దూరం 27 కీ.మీ గా ఉంటుంది. గుంటూరు - సికింద్రాబాద్ రైలు (వయా) డోన్ (ద్రోణాచలం), కర్నూలు టౌన్, అలంపూర్ రోడ్, గద్వాల, మహబూబ్ నగర్ మీదగా ఉంటాయి.

Alampuri Jogulamba Devi

Telangana region separated from Andhra Pradesh and formed two Telugu states. Alampuram is located on the banks of the Tungabhadra river on the border of these two Telugu states. It falls under Sri Jogulamba Gadwala District, Telangana State. Sri Nava Brahmaalayas (9) and Sri Jogalamba Shakti Peetha can be visited in the grounds. The nine Shiva temples built by Lord Brahma are legendary. Among these, Sri Bala Brahmeshwara Temple is the main one. To the south-east of this is the Sri Jogulamba temple. The temple structure is beautiful with fine sandstone. Moola Virattu in the sanctum is glorious. Along with regular prayers to Amma Jogalamba, great festivals and Rathotsavam are held on the occasion of Devi Navratri. Special abhishekams are held on Tuesdays and Fridays, which are auspicious for the mother. Devotees regularly come to visit Amma who is famous as the wish-fulfilling mother. Jogulamba graces those who have fertility problems and health problems.
In Alampur Kshetra, Kartikamasam pujas and Shivratri festival are celebrated as festival of eyes. In the month of Kartik, women participate in large numbers to participate in the special puja of Goddess Jogulamba. A large number of women visit the Goddess for the Nava Varnarchana and Kanya Pujas held here. For special festivals in the month of Kartika, the temple is decorated with electric lights as a festival of eyes. The number of devotees who visit Bala Bhameshwar on Shivratri day is high.
History: Alampur is a collection of nine Shiva temples built by the Badami Chalukyas in the seventh-eighth centuries. Nine Brahma temples namely Taraka Brahma, Swarga Brahma, Padma Brahma, Bala Brahma, Garuda Brahma, Kumara Brahma, Arka Brahma, Veera Brahma and Vishwa Brahma are popularly known as Nava Brahma temples. Jogulamba Shakti Peeth was also present in the temple complex itself. Jogulamba Temple was founded in 1390 by the Bahmani Sultans. During the reign of Vijayanagara Emperor Harihara Raya II, the temple was damaged in an attack by the Bahmani Sultan's army, so Goddess Jogulamba and her power forms, Chandi and Mundi, were moved to the nearby Balabrahma Temple and hidden. From then till the year 2005 Ammavara received Koluvai pooja in Balabrahma temple. After the reconstruction of the Jogulamba temple in 2005, the statue of Jogulamba was re-dedicated.
There are transport facilities from Gadwala, Mahbubnagar etc. in Telangana state. Alampur Road, Sri Bala Brahmeswara - Jogulamba railway stations are on the Mahbubnagar - Kurnool railway line. Passenger train stops here. From here there are limited transport facilities to Alampuram. All trains stop at Kurnool Town Railway Station. Buses leave from Kurnool RTC bus stand for Alampuram every half hour. The distance between them is 27 km. Guntur - Secunderabad Train (Via) via Don (Dronachalam), Kurnool Town, Alampur Road, Gadwala, Mahbub Nagar.
